▌Introduction

Hello, I'm Lin Chia-en (Hans).
I have extensive experience performing in Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, and Latin styles, which has made me particularly sensitive to rhythmic layering and the depth of groove.
I don't aim for loud or flashy playing, but rather that feeling of sticking to the music and truly letting the groove settle in.

In class, I'll guide you with the most practical methods,
so you don't just "play on time," but can start to understand and play truly flowing rhythms.

This is the most crucial skill for modern drummers, and it's what I excel at teaching.

▌Musical Background

Education

  • Master's Degree in Music, National Dong Hwa University

Specialized in jazz drum set, modern groove, rhythmic syntax, and ensemble application.

Due to extensive experience performing in jams, live houses, recording sessions, and with regular bands, I particularly excel at helping students:
• Find their own rhythmic personality
• Build grooves that can be used on stage
• Play "good-sounding" rhythms from the ground up
