Styles|Pop, Funk, Rock, BluesCourse Focus|Understand music through "singing", from music theory to playing and singing, building rhythm, timbre, and improvisation skills. ▌About Me Hi, I'm Allen, a guitar teacher specializing in rock, pop, funk, and blues. I believe that "to truly understand music, one must be able to play it well."Therefore, classes will start with singing and movement, because playing and singing is not just about playing the right chords, but also about understanding the relationship between melody, harmony, and rhythm. I mainly teach acoustic guitar, electric guitar playing and singing, accompaniment, and music theory. I can also assist with DAW, bass, ukulele, and other music-related issues. The courses are customized, but I will guide you to understand the underlying musical principles – because music theory is actually the "why it sounds good" principle, and it's simpler than you think. My teaching style is empathetic, and I hope you won't have to experience the frustration I had when I was learning, feeling "uncomfortable and not understanding why things were done a certain way."Many students say after learning: "Music is actually very simple and fun!" Although practice is still necessary XD, you will at least truly know why you should practice and how to practice effectively. If you are interested in playing and singing, want to truly understand what rhythm is all about, or even want to explore the skills and tools future musicians need, then come find me! ▌Musical Background Education Graduated from MI GIT My playing style integrates modern rock with Japanese musical sensibilities, incorporating the rhythmic characteristics of Funk and Blues. I'm proficient in using various AI and software tools such as Suno, Moises, Guitar Pro, MuseScore, etc. The guitar isn't just for chords; it's about creating space with sound and guiding the musical direction. In a band, the guitar is responsible for supporting the overall groove with rhythm and timbre. Before a formal performance, what guitarists often lack isn't technique, but "how to connect with the music." ▌Demo Videos ▌Music Work and Competition Experience 2009 Shih Hsien Award|Second Place Group 2010 Shih Hsien Award|Best Group 2010 Bei Yun Award|Second Place Group Instructor for the NCCU Affiliated High School Guitar Club ▌Classroom Style Classes will start with sound and singing, not with fingers.I will guide you to: First "sing to understand" melody and harmony, then present them on the guitar. Clearly feel the core of rhythm Use AI tools to assist practice, break down rhythm and timbre Build performance-ready skills through practicing actual songs ▌Suitable Students This guitar course is suitable for you if you: Want to learn to play and sing Enjoy genres like Rock, Pop, Funk, Blues, Indie, etc. Want to understand rhythm and the essence of music Want to record demos, compose, or prepare for performances Are interested in AI music tools and want to understand the skill requirements for future musicians If you've ever felt that your "rhythm is unstable, you lack confidence, and you can read sheet music but get lost without it," then this class will be perfect for you. ▌What You Will Learn in Class Understand rhythm and music theory through "singing" How to organize melody, harmony, and rhythm and combine them in performance The best process for playing and singing and methods for building groove Rhythmic concepts of pulse and meter (no longer just "up and down, up and down") How to break down songs and transform them into your own playing Using AI tools to assist learning From zero to completing your first playing and singing song, including full rhythm practice ▌Target Audience Beginner to advanced✔️ Elementary school (approx. 1st grade) to adults✔️ Can assist with preparing for performances, competitions, recitals, and examinations✔️ Those who want to build a strong musical foundation or improve their performance skills Book a Class|Start Learning Electric Guitar Book a Class|Start Learning Acoustic Guitar Book a Class|Start Learning Ukulele
